WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost in specific statistics. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random substat is also increased with every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the need to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item upgrader mod used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and is accessible at any time to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each few weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the Item Level Upgrade level, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Crests

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when an item reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the best equipment available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to make. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are full of high-quality gear.
